Approach

At Ridgway Valley Enterprises Inc. we align the interests of a project’s many
participants - clients, architects, contractors, and subcontractors - before any construction begins. At the offset, we work with clients and designers to
define goals, agree upon a schedule, and establish measurements of success. We keep an open door policy throughout, and encourage the building process to be a true team effort. Pre-Construction Process

The initial step of any project is the pre-construction process, including estimating, value engineering, schedule formation, site analysis and logistics. We spend a great deal of time in the pre-construction process phase. We have found that there is a direct correlation between the extensive efforts involved in the up-front planning and the success of the job. The better the plan, the better the project. The following services have been designed to make each job more cost-effective by minimizing delays and completing the project on time and under budget.

Budget

Estimating the budget is the primary step in effective project cost management. Our experience shows that the earlier our estimator is involved in the project, the better we are able to assist the owner and architects in making decisions consistent with the project objectives.

Value Engineering

Our value engineering approach, when needed, is comprehensive, proactive and progressive. More than simply suggesting lower priced equipment or materials to reduce cost, it is a process unique to each customer, an on-going process that identifies goals for the facility and means to provide the highest value possible without compromising quality.

Schedule

We schedule the entire project, from ground breaking to punchlist, in order to monitor and evaluate its progress. We use Microsoft Project to determine the most efficient scheduling route available. All major decision points are identified. The schedule is then updated bi-weekly to keep all members informed.

Site Analysis And Logistics

At the outset, we carefully examine all site aspects in order to achieve an accurate budget during the estimating process. These aspects include soil
sampling, zoning requirements, drainage paths, utility requirements and municipality fee structures. We also coordinate all engineering and appropriate permits. Once on site, we continue to assess the project to determine safety management, site access, transportation routes and construction parking. By anticipating these concerns we can create an efficient and safe working environment.


Construction Process

At Ridgway Valley we have earned our reputation by maintaining meticulous
attention to the building process. In an industry known for its lackluster approach to quality and deadlines, we have redefined the meaning of quality construction. The following priorities outline this success.

Safety

Because we know that our greatest resource as a company is the people who work for us, we take every step possible to ensure our people come to work and return home every day without incident. In addition to monthly company safety meetings, safety is a priority at each and every job site, we are committed to creating accident-free environments.

Budget/Bid

Prior to construction, we present a firm fixed price bid to the owner. This bid is based on construction drawings. This fixed price is compared to any budgets given previously to the owner to see any areas that need to be reevaluated or value engineered.

Schedule

We aggressively pursue all available options to keep the project on or ahead of schedule throughout construction - without ever compromising quality. Because we believe that completing the project on time is profitable for all team members involved, we are committed to completing the schedules within the durations established at the time of mobilization.

Qualified Subcontractors

Because we believe so strongly that the success of a job relies on the effort of many individuals, our relationships with subcontractors is vital to our building process. We use skilled subcontractors, thus enhancing our project delivery disciplines. This provides innovative, dependable and cost-effective solutions for the customer. Our priority of building lasting relationships has created many strong partnerships with our subcontractors and ensures true teamwork on all of our projects.

On-Site Supervision

Overall construction progress will be coordinated in tandem by an experienced project manager and superintendent, who jointly bring about the project’s success. The project manager oversees the entire process and is responsible for the general business management of the project. The superintendent is directly in charge of field construction, coordinating all subcontractor activity and site safety. Together, the team manages all overlapping trades to avoid any schedule conflicts or potential delays.

Quality Assurance

Not only do we adhere to the highest quality construction practices in the industry, we also set our own standards, above and beyond the norm. Our goal is to consistently exceed the clients expectations. We take pride in what we build and we’ve earned our reputation based on that philosophy.


Post-Construction Process

From advanced planning and value engineering to on-time completion with a zero punchlist, we are setting new standards for service. Our return business rate is, in part, because our warranty and exceptional follow up always put the client first. We will be there for the customer, guaranteed.

Zero PunchList

The “zero punchlist” goal translates into finishing all outstanding items on a
project by the time of its substantial completion. We plan every aspect of the
project closeout in advance, making sure we complete each phase as we go.

Warranty System

Our warranty system is a comprehensive program that promptly addresses warranty issues with a team of select professionals dedicated to your satisfaction. Our goal is to earn a customer for life. To that end, we think our
satisfied client base and repeat business speaks for itself.

Post-Occupany System

Even after project closeout, we are available for product review and services. This is in addition to our comprehensive warranty. We will be there for any client concerns, no matter what the size.
